Jackson Lab provides internships for high school students and the opportunity for scientific investigation to classes of varied ages. Jackson Lab is a DEEP Partner.
http://maine.edu/~grimmig/	*Hancock County Higher Education Center* is a DEEP Partner, which extends University of Maine System courses and services to the people of Hancock County. Located at the Mill Mall in Ellsworth, University College offers a full schedule of day and evening courses and support services for students. They offer a number of courses appropriate for educators!
http://www.coa.edu/	A DEEP Partner, College of the Atlantic provides an opportunity for hands-on investigations for local students through Allied Whale, the Dorr Museum, and Geographic Information Systems. COA includes a teacher certification program.

The Local Assessment Development program is an effort to provide Maine teachers, schools, and districts with valid, reliable assessments, aligned with Maine’s Learning Results, suitable for inclusion in Local Assessment Systems.
